Advice and Resources for a Standardized Test Taker

Advice and Resources for a Standardized Test Taker

When preparing for the SAT or ACT, we always follow the three pillars of standardized testing:

  • Content

  • Technique

  • PRACTICE

When it comes to PRACTICE, it is imperative that you use materials that are created by the test makers themselves.

This doesn’t mean that other supplementary materials are useless. There are several instructional books that can be helpful for building your knowledge.

However, when it comes to practicing, you must use REAL Materials. Only the test makers themselves can provide authentic materials that will most directly reflect what you are going to see on test day.

Here are the links to get the real materials for FREE.

…..And a nod to Khan:

The Khan Academy is super helpful for preparing yourself for the SAT, particularly for building your knowledge content on grammar and math. Be sure to link your Khan account to your college board account so that the material you seen on Khan will reflect your level and push you toward the next level up.
