Interview with Susan Micari, Educational Therapist, Part ONE
All students, young or old, struggle with anxiety. For some of us, this anxiety comes from a real learning disability. For others it comes from the high expectations put upon us by our schools, our families, our friends, and ourselves.
In this informative and relevant interview, Drew Valins, founder of Satellite Prep talks with Susan Micari, Educational Therapist in New York City. Susan shares with us her expertise in working with LD students with issues such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Executive Function and Non-Verbal issues.
Susan is a true champion of students who have suffered in the arena of learning.
We talk about stress, and Susan says:
“Work relieves anxiety. You teach somebody how to do what they need to do and Voila! You’ve got some lightness of spirit, a little bit more joy, or at the very least you can now tolerate the anxiety of doing your schoolwork”
